Timing:
The timing diagram below indicates a device with three video outputs. The device can be fully scanned in 1,190 clock cycles (38 inactive clock cycles plus 1152 clock cycles) to clock out the video.
In the example below, some amount of overscan can be seen. Since this device uses a global shutter, the overscan period will expose the sensor elements for the next readout cycle.
Illumination:
A wide variety of illumination techniques and spectrum are available on all of our devices. Custom illumination available upon request.

Illumination:
A wide variety of illumination techniques and spectrum are available on all of our devices. Custom illumination available upon request.
M106 CIS Module Series
Overview:
Our 200 dpi contact image sensors come in a wide variety of designs and sensor sizes from 304 mm to as small as a cmos sensor size of 12 mm scanning length. The M106 series of modules is based on our 8 dots per millimeter C106 silicon. Each standard sensor module has either 1 or 3 video outputs. These CIS modules can be configured to meet your specific design needs.
Specifications:
-
8 dots per millimeter - 200 dpi
-
125 µm pixel center to center spacing
-
High sensitivity
-
Internal gain
-
5 V power supply
-
Low power consumption
Timing:
The timing diagram indicates a device with a single video output. In the example below the device can be fully scanned in 1,728 clock cycles with a single video output. SP or Start Pulse begins the scanout process.
The diagram below indicates a device with a total of 2,436 pixels and two video outputs. This device has a minimum integration time of 1,216 clock cycles.
Illumination:
A wide variety of illumination techniques and spectrum are available on all of our devices. Custom illumination available upon request.
M116 CIS Module Series
Overview:
Our 300 / 600 dpi contact image sensors are available in sizes from 312 mm to 24 mm. The M116 series of modules are based on our dual resolution 300/600 dpi C116 silicon. CMOS Sensor Inc's standard CMOS image sensor module is available in aluminum or plastic. With 1 or 3 video outputs, the devices can be configured to meet your specific requirements.
Specifications:
-
High Speed: Up to 8 MHz pixel rate
-
Sensitivity: 50 - 400 V/Lux-Sec
-
300 dpi / 600 dpi selectable
-
41.65 μm pixel center-to-center spacing
-
On chip OP amplifier
-
Very low fixed pattern noise
-
Single 5 V or 3.3 V power supply
-
5 V or 3.3 V input signal interface
Timing:
The timing diagram below indicates a device with a single video output. The device can be fully scanned in 2,630 clock cycles (38 inactive clock cycles plus 2,592 clock cycles) for the video signal.
In the example below, some amount of overscan can be seen. Since this device uses a global shutter, the overscan period will expose the sensor elements for the next readout cycle.
The diagram below is the same device except that the user has selected 300 dpi resolution mode. In this case, it will require 38 + 1296 clock cycles to read the sensor fully.
Illumination:
A wide variety of illumination techniques and spectrum are available on all of our devices. Custom illumination available upon request.
