C640 - Terrain Mapping Satellite Sensor

Space-Qualified Satellite Sensors for Terrain Mapping 

The C640 was originally designed to provide high resolution and low power consumption for machine vision and spectroscopy applications. The C640 is a mixed mode IC combining analog circuitry, digital circuitry, and optical sensor circuitry all in one chip.

 

From the Earth's surface, to the surface of the moon, the C640 has been utilized to reliably captures high resolution satellite images for terrain mapping.

C640 - Terrain Mapping Features:

  • 7 µm x 7 µm pixel size

  • 7 µm element pitch 4000 active elements

  • 28,000 µm x 7 µm image size

  • 12 bit resolution

  • Auto dark voltage cancellation

  • Fixed pattern noise cancellation

  • Programmable gain control

  • Global exposure control function

C650 - Hyperspectral Imaging Satellite Sensor

Space-Qualified Satellite Sensors for Hyperspectral Imaging

The C650 is a 256 x 512 element area array. It uses active pixel sensor design techniques coupled with a large pixel size providing slow scan, low power consumption for space and machine vision applications. The C650 is a mixed mode design combining analog circuitry, digital circuitry, and optical sensor circuitry all in the same chip.

C650 - Hyperspectral Imaging Features:

  • 50 µm x 50 µm pixel size

  • 256 x 512 active elements

  • 25,600 µm x 12,800 µm image size Single video readout

  • 12 bit resolution

  • Auto dark voltage cancellation

  • Fixed pattern noise cancellation

  • Programmable gain control

  • Global exposure control function

Other Applications Besides TMC and HySl:

Besides its usage in a terrain mapping camera, the C640 is also well-suited for applications in machine vision cameras and spectroscopy.

Besides its usage in a hyperspectral camera, the C650 is also well-suited for applications in machine vision and automated vision inspection.
